Membership is organised on a termly basis (every three months) and the membership fees are determined by the club treasurer at the start of each term. Membership fees are posted on our facebook group at the start of each term and we prefer members to pay by bank transfer, however we also accept cash on a club night if payed directly to the treasurer.
Yes. Our public liability insurance is provided by 'Protectivity Insurance Ltd'.
We do accept visitors on a pay to play basis at our friday club nights - visitors are normally charged £5.00 per evening. Tuesday and Thursday club nights are only available on a termly membership basis.
Please see the about us page for current club night times and locations. We play all year round (though in the winter during the league season some Friday courts are used for matches), only missing a few sessions due to school closures, e.g. around christmas.
The club normally plays on 4 courts - apart from the Friday summer club which is 2 courts.
The club normally uses Yonex Mavis 300 plastic shuttles.
You will normally play some mixed doubles (men and women) and some levels doubles during the course of the evening. We don't normally play singles to ensure everyone gets to play as many games as possible.
Yes. Both venues have separate changing rooms with showers for men and women.
Wear clothes you feel comfortable in and are able to move about in along with non-marking sports shoes. If you have a racket please bring it along otherwise the club has a few spare rackets which can be borrowed if you let us know in advance. We will supply the shuttlecocks.
We currently enter three mens doubles, two mixed doubles and one ladies team in the leamington district league. Home matches are played on fridays, and there is a match fee of £5 per player for home and away matches. League players are expected to be members of the club.
Yes. The club secretary organises regular social activities. The friendly social nature of the club also means there are adhoc visits to the pub after club night, and nights out.
